Graduated in 2001 from Hosei University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Social Policy Science (Environmental Sociology).After joining Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (now TOPPAN), she engaged in international copyright business. She handled the import and export of copyrights for numerous works, including picture books by renowned Italian author Bruno Munari. In 2008, she received the President’s Award at Toppan Printing for her contributions to the launch projects of the Michelin Guide Tokyo and Hong Kong editions.She became independent in 2019. Using sociological survey methods, she independently visits field sites in Italy, conducts photography and interviews in Italian, and personally carries out transcription and writing—maintaining a hands-on style throughout.Certified sommelier.In November 2023, at the Embassy of Italy in Japan (Mita, Tokyo), she received the Umberto Agnelli Prize from the Italy-Japan Foundation in Rome, awarded to journalists who contribute to mutual cultural understanding between Italy and Japan.
